Nutrient-packed tea to boost immune system and prevent flu.
Many people drink hot lemon in the morning to kick start their day, but why not increase the health credentials of your morning hot drink with a boost of turmeric.
Turmeric is an ancient spice, known by many as an addition to eastern dishes like curries.
But this golden spice holds many powerful health benefits that are being confirmed again and again.
Turmeric is just about one of the best natural anti-inflammatories, and it is inflammation which leads to many problems in the body which can lead to more serious conditions.
people suffering from chronic pain associated with long-term conditions like arthritis, joint pain, severe back pain are often resolved to taking prescription painkillers for years on end. Little do they know how taking a little turmeric each day can help ease their pain significantly.
There have been a number of studies published which support the theory that turmeric cures chronic pain in the body, in a way that painkillers just can’t.
The potent anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric have even been linked with the treatment and cure of Alzheimer’s.
Alzheimer’s is a slow and silent killer, which gradually robs the sufferer of their mental capacity. It is an awful illness which there is – as of yet – no cure for.
But promising studies on the effect of turmeric on Alzheimer’s sufferers show that it could have a significant effect on treating the condition.
While the turmeric is the star of this remedial tea, the other two ingredients are really important, too.
Ginger is also an effective anti-inflammatory, and at the same time is great for boosting your immune system, which is really important this time of the year.
Lemon is added to the tea as it is a fruit so densely packed with nutrients that it puts all others to shame.
The recipe calls for grated turmeric, so you will need to get hold of some turmeric root, this can be found at most good natural health stores.
